Summer phytoplankton of Serranía de Cuenca (central Spain)

Since the number of studies on phytoplankton Serranía de Cuenca (central Spain) has been scarce, this is an attempt to increase our knowledge by describing physico-chemistry, flora and biomass seven stagnant environments in summer. They are located a karstic depopulated area where abandonment crops livestock resulted decreasing human impacts. As result, flagellate-rich taxa indicating clean waters dominant, showing some rare species as well. Biomass low seemingly limited phosphorus. These worth wider detailed its algal flora, which will probably result description novel new records species.
